Everyone raved that I had to try this place. It is nothing great. They remodeled/moved, so I thought it would be an even better experience. Well my hopes were up too high. Menu is a mix of randomness, food is awful- like canned chicken smothered in cheap cheese, drinks are lousy, decor is confusing, and staff is awful. I hate giving bad reviews, but it is what it is. Don't get your hopes up!

I should award this place 4-5 stars, but my last 3 experiences have just been worse and worse. 3 meals ago, they messed up our bills so bad it took like 30 minutes and 2 managers to figure it out. 2 ago we had to wait over an hour for our reservation table to be ready, and it took forEVER to get drinks. This time they messed up my order....twice. But I still go back because of my previous amazing experiences. But, sadly, kind of getting tired of this place. And oh yeah, they took my FAVORITE thing off the menu. I am SO upset!!!! It'll take friends or family wanting to go out for me to return. *sigh* Tried the place 1 more time in the new location. The hostess neglected to tell us how long of a wait it would be, ended up waiting 40 minutes. I had to get my own silverware, my salad tasted bitter and like it's wasn't rinsed. It was SO dark in there I had to use my phone to read the menu. Ugg. Over this place. The food is so-so. Our waiter was cool tho. But hubby and I don't plan to ever return. And the bathrooms are nasty.

Good menu. Attentive waiter but they forgot our salads and still had them on bill... Enchiladas were good, and the B&W pizza was tasty. Beer selection on tap mostly too fruity for me. Average overall.

This place is really good...there are so few good places to eat here in sioux city I'm glad I gave this place a chance...I had some spicy cajun pasta thing that was really good the first time I came here. Our server was really nice and efficient...that's rare to find she was relateable but did her job and didn't hover over us like alot of servers do. Will definitely be back

Love Rebos. Good service, original food. Variety of beers on tap. Sometimes too loud for good conversation

Rebos is definitely in my top 10 favorite restaurants of all time. All of the staff was very helpful and respectful. They went out of their way to make everything perfect. The scenery was modern, minimalistic, and chic. The food was absolutely amazing. I highly reccomend any of the flatbreads. Thanks for the amazing experience Rebos!

One of our favorite 3 restaurants in SUX, and will definitely be back! I had the Fresca Salad - just a warning, it's HUGE, so come hungry. My stomach was sad that I couldn't finish it. Hubs had the enchiladas - nothing special about them, really, but they were very good. He also cannot pass up a good soup on the menu, so he tried the lobster bisque. As far as midwestern lobster bisque goes, this was excellent. Prices are reasonable, atmosphere is fun, service was great - can't wait to go back!

Wednesday night is sangria night, $5 carafes. Great deal, especially since they serve it with ice on the side ;-) Also really like their salads, Tostada salad is my favorite. Always very fresh!

Well tried the NEW location, kinda disappointed....it lost something in the move. The coziness the atmosphere. It is very loud! Service was so so. Sweetheart had the special, aT-bone,had to order something else, all grissle! Mine was very good the fresca pizza. Overall the food was good but ...just something not the same..... Sure I will return but I hope it goes better

Back with friends and still great fish tacos. The fish tacos are BACK! for the summer anyway. And now they have the option of fried or fresh. I tried the fried this time, and think the fresh is still the way to go. Also had the crab cakes again, and they are reallllllly tasty. Buttery. I could make a meal just of these. Here are my two beefs. The bar should be first come, first serve. 2 seats opened up at the bar and as we went to sit down we were told that the next two people in line were up for those. That to me is bizarre. If you need more seating, find a way to get more seating in, or stop making reservations available. (The upstairs was completely empty and I assume waiting for a reservation). I have waited almost 2 hours for a table at this place in the past, so if people want to dine in and they don't have a reservation, than that is tough ****. The bar should always be free for the taking. My next is the Mojito. Mojitos need booze and sugar. Both seemed to be lacking in this drink. But if you like the taste of mint soda water, this will be right up your alley. I know there is a theory that Mojito's take a bunch of time and even if they do, do them right. This bartender is always stuck in the middle of making drinks and taking reservations. Hire a hostess guys. Or maybe the owner could work the front on the busy Friday and Saturday nights. Greet people. Help bus. Take out some orders when the staff gets kicked in the face. etc. Back to the Mojito though, other than muddling the mint leaves in the glass, you only need rum, soda water and here is a hint, SIMPLE SYRUP. If you make it that morning or afternoon, it should not take you much longer to make this drink over any other drink. AND, I will want to stay there and drink and drink some more. This place is not sliding, but in order to stay on top it has to be a step above the rest. Hire a bit more staff and let the bartender do his job, tend the bar.

Had the Muy Grande Burrito which had great flavors, and is probably one of the best burritos I've had. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. I came with a group of four and we all really enjoyed our meals.

There is a soft spot in my heart for Rebo's.... so many good times over carafes of $5 sangria on Wednesday nights! (disclaimer: this was about 5 years ago, so that may have changed) Other highlights were the black & white pizza, tostada salad and greasy hang-over-cure breakfasts on Sunday mornings. If/when I return to Siouxland, I'll be sure to stop by Rebo's!

Rebos is open for lunch and dinner, but is closed Mondays. Parking can be hard to come by in the evenings as its location is among several stores, salons, restaurants and bars, and also the downtown movie theater. Reservations are available. They have daily specials and a full bar. Once a month they have a special wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres. My personal recommendations are "Black and White Pizza" - wood-fire, thin crust pizza with black beans, chicken, and jalapenos with a white sauce and jalapeno ranch dipping sauce on the side, and the "Evil Creole Pasta" - blackened chicken and sauteed veggies over pasta with marinara sauce (you can get it "evil", hot, or mild). They also have excellent jerk chicken wings for a great appetizer. more at siouxcityreviews.wordpre…

This place has a great variety menu of unique dishes, especially compared to most casual dinning places in Sioux City. If you want something different, go to Rebos. Great casual atmosphere, but I recommend calling ahead with a reservation, or you can usually get a good spot at the bar, which is nice. I had a great pasta dish. Came in three spice levels: Medium, Hot, and Fire...or something like that. I went with Hot and loved it. Probably would opt for Medium next time though, which is rare for me because I usually love some spiciness.

I had a gnocchi dish with a creamy spicey sauce. It was fantastic. If you have an adventurous palette... this is a great place. If you are a meat-n-taters person... go somewhere else.

This place has a neat atmosphere. It is very original for Sioux City. I liked the food it has a lot of flavor, but the menu definitely lends itself to people who like spicy adventurous food. Less adventurous eaters may have a hard time finding something. The service seems to be pretty good. We had an over cooked flat bread pizza and the waitress had the kitchen cook a new one with no fuss at all. There are some interesting drink selections and the beer choices are moderately plentiful. and prices are quite reasonable.

Let's put this restaurant in perspective please...it's Sioux CIty, Iowa. I was there recently the service was good and friendly. The food was good! I had one of the most flavorful salads I've ever tasted. It is Tex Mex/Carribean fusion...or rather the sign inside said so. Granted the restaurant didn't look good...its not a dive by any means but its just not attractive. Looks like a boring sports bar....but the food was a pleasant surprise. If you don't like spicy/flavorful food then don't go there. Otherwise its probably one of the better places to go in Sioux CIty.

I really wanted to give this more than one star...trust me. I was visiting my parents from Austin, TX and my sister and I were missing our once-a-day Mexican food, decided to go to Rebo's since there are few places on a Sunday that are even open in Sioux City, and we would rather visit a local establishment since we don't do the whole chain food thing. The service was pretty bad, and it was FREEZING inside of the restaurant, as well as super smokey due to what seemed like burnt food. I should have known better when we ordered diet sodas that looked more like iced tea when we received them. The minute we pointed them out to the waitress she said something along the lines of, "I know, we were having problems yesterday. What would you like instead?" Why would she even think that soda that you could see through was okay to serve? We are always willing to forgive bad service for good food--but once our "Q" with "Chorizo" came out after 30 minutes of waiting, we knew we were done for. We live in the heart of great Queso, and although this was definitely cheese of some sort, we needed to cut it with a knife to even eat it by the time it got to our table. Also, the "chorizo" tasted like hamburger with taco seasoning. Super greasy and NOT chorizo. Then, we got about ten chips with our "Q" and when I asked for more, the waitress was less than friendly when she told me that they were making more and they would be out soon. We got a few more chips about ten minutes later. Our entrees finally came and my enchiladas had little to none sauce on them (more like tacos), and raw onions covering them. I'm not sure what NewMexiCaribbean is supposed to mean, but the beans were regular brown beans with some un-melted cheese sprinkled atop and the rice was dry with corn in it. It was all very strange/disconnected and very disappointing. I had been here a few years ago and was never so happy to leave. I love the atmosphere of 4th street and I want local businesses to thrive in this town, but I couldn't walk away from this without saying something in hopes that the owners will take note. The food wasn't terrible, it just took way too long and the servers weren't up to par. I hope this place turns around!

The food was ok. Everything had a lot of cheese and as cheddar cheese does when melted, the oil separated off. Made the dishes a but greasy and saturated. The flavor was still pretty good. I will go back but it isn't something I will rush to have again. The waitress was very nice and seemed to be serving every table in the place.

Unfortunately, I have to move my rating down to 3 stars for Rebos. The reason for this is salt. I ate again here recently and tried the chili con carne. Having not drunk any alcoholic beverages, I noticed the dish was excessively salty. I asked my friends if there dishes were salty as well and they agreed someone was a little heavy-handed with the salt in the kitchen. I returned another day for lunch and had my favorite, the Cuban sandwich with potatoes. I enjoyed the sandwich (as usual), but noticed the very salty flavor of the potatoes. I would recommend this place for people who enjoy uniquely flavored food, large portions, and salt. I wouldn't recommend this place for people suffering from high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or who are on a sodium-restricted diet.

The worst service I have EVER had anywhere! Food not cooked all the way. Did not offer to fix or even ask what was wrong after waitress took away after one bite yet expected me to pay for it. When the waitress took my uneaten plate she said nothing and left me no time to explain why it wasnt eaten. The bill came, I told her I would pay for everything but the main dish because it wasnt cooked all of the way. Her response,"my manager said its not our fault you didn't like the food." The managers first words to me were, " I don't know where you're from, but around here people pay for the food they order." Manager continued raised voice to me and cursed at me in front of customers. I didn't approach situation in rude manor yet was treated in a rude manor. I gave them one star because no stars was not an option.

I agree with someone else's review about the salt. Their stack enchilada is da bomb, however!

We recently ate here for the first time. We were very impressed! It was a little awkward to walk in the door and have no host/hostess. The owner/bar tender just yells at you and tells you where to sit. Be prepared to wait! This place is busy on the weekends! But well worth the wait, and you can call for reservations. We ordered the Black & White Pizza... absolutely amazing! Very yummy, with their delicious jalapeno ranch sauce. Also tried the special one night, which was a NY strip, peppers & onions, and mashed potatoes. Not a crumb left in sight! We loved it! Definitely check this place out! Check out my blog review at siouxcitygirleats.com !

This place is fairly tasty, but GREASY!! Cool atmosphere and location, interesting menu, but holy cow this stuff was covered in grease (probably partly because they put a lot of cheese on everything). Girlfriend and I used 5 napkins just to soak up as much of the oily stuff as we could and it was still covered even after that. I know a lot of other people don't really care about health when they go out to eat, but this was over the top unhealthiness.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
